Artisan Precision Machining has over 27 years of experience in the engineering industry providing a range of processes including CNC machining, milling and wire erosion. We manufacture components to the highest of using specialist measuring equipment, focusing on quality and delivery.
Proprietor Andrew Holmes was apprentice trained as a precision engineer with Vickers Instruments in York, manufacturing components for microscope, semiconductor and defence instruments.
Working within high tolerance specification throughout his 27 year engineering career, Andrew worked as an a team of race engineers for Foss Tech (York), and was involved in the design and build of racing cars for Honda and Audi. Andrew worked for a further 6 years with Neil Brown Engineering, manufacturing precision competition engine components for the motorsport industry
Having such a varied working history, and the opportunity to understand and develop many exceptional machine capabilities, Andrew’s decision to start his own business was the obvious next step.
Artisan Precision Machining has continued to grow, working closely with a local and national customer base, providing diversity in engineering skills, incorporating one oft or small batch projects to large batch production.
